Term 3 inquiry-media
The marshland press
This term our inquiry was based on the media, The different types and how it affects people. I was placed in the newspaper group and had one article in our paper mine was placed on the front page my article was about our deputy principal, Overall I think that our inquiry turned out good, and all of the groups (Tv media, internet media, radio media, print media) did there best and the final product paid off, and the amount of work that the groups put in was amazing, I really enjoyed this inquiry and I can't wait till next terms inquiry.

DEBATE REFLECTION
Reflection on Cell phones in the classroom debate
this week we worked on how to debate and a common topic was chosen, cell phones and how they affect the classroom.
POSITIVES
- strong ideas were gathered
- some members spoke with a strong/confident voice
NEGATIVES
- some speakers were not so high in confidence
- more facts need to be in the speeches
OPINION
I Believe that cell phones should not be part of the classroom as they are a distraction and limit learning time. Here are some reasons, why to believe this:
1) They can get in the way and distract students 2) They can go on social media and could talk to anyone! 3) Who knows what the kids could be doing on them they could search for anything.

Survivor
This week we have been dressing up in our house colours to represent our houses in survivor Toroa.
survivor Toroa is a series of challenges we are put up to face, the four houses are Korowai-Yellow
Whietu-Red Harakeke-Green Kahu Kiwi-Blue, I am in Kahu Kiwi.
My favorite activity had to be battle ball, battle ball is a game like dodgeball with four squares and you can only attack the two teams next to you.
